10-month, full-time position. Provide confidential health services to students and staff in order to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, interpret and provide health care, in both general and in emergency situations, to students and staff in order to address safety and health concerns.
- Administer medications, perform procedures and treatments in order to support student health and well-being
- Collaborate with the student, parents, medical and school personnel to manage student’s healthcare in the school environment, which may include creating care plans.
- Schedule, organize, record and oversee various health assessments, making appropriate referrals and follow-up when necessary, in order to support healthy learning.
- File state and local mandated reports and maintain accurate student health records and staff reports in order to comply with health and safety laws.
- Provide health-related training for school personnel in order to support student health and/or remain compliant with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Serve as a resource to community health services for families and staff in order to address and support health needs.
- Participate in professional development in order to maintain licensure, grow professionally in the field and meet the requirements of the district.
Requirements: Registered Nurse - current registration State Of Illinois. Bachelors Degree required.
