10-month, full-time position, for the 2025-2026 school
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in IEP conferences and other meetings where the special education teacher’s expertise is needed.
- Plan and implement instruction to meet each student’s individual learning needs.
- Collect data for progress monitoring of curriculum and IEP.
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Functional Behavior Analyses with the IEP team.
- Utilize the Child Study Team as a resource to problem solve and collaborate around student needs.
- Establish and maintain open and positive interactions with students and their parents.
- Establish and maintain open and positive interactions with all staff members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, and follow established timelines for completing paperwork.
- Provide technical expertise/guidance to non-licensed personnel and volunteers.
- Pursues educational studies to maintain and improve professional levels of performance.
Requirements: Valid Illinois State Special Edcuation Professional Educator License, LBS1 or Special Education endorsement.
