Job Description: Responsible for supporting the day-to-day workings of a school office to support efficient operations of the school for safe and productive learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as the communication liaison, providing assistance via phone, electronic and in-person to staff, students, parents, district personnel and other community members in order to facilitate day-to-day operations of school functionality.
- Maintain and reconcile budgets and financial records, process and track monies in order to be fiscally compliant and responsible.
- Order, process and maintain accurate records on materials as directed by building administrator in order to ensure that the school has adequate supplies, equipment and educational resources.
- Process requests for intermittent repair and maintenance of building equipment essential to the daily operations of the school to ensure that they are in good working order to provide a safe and productive environment for students and staff.
- Compile, prepare and submit required and/or directed reports in order to provide important information to staff and building administration, district personnel and maintain state compliance.
- Maintain student records (registration, transfers, student information, etc.) in order to remain compliant with the Illinois Student Records Act.)
- Assist in managing student behavior in order to facilitate a successful and safe learning environment.
- Participate in professional development and in-service in order to grow professionally in the field and meet the requirements of the district.
Qualifications: · Graduation from a standard high school, including courses in keyboarding, office business practices; or equivalent; Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously; Ability to work with children and school district personnel; Knowledge of and ability to use business English, spelling, modern office machines, accounting principles and practices. Ability to maintain records and prepare reports from such records; Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations; Ability to type and file rapidly and accurately; Ability to demonstrate computer literacy including but not limited
to, knowledge of Windows, Word and/or Quicken; Ability to work collaboratively; Conscientious about attendance and punctuality.
